Prefab Metal Garage Frame
The frames on our prefab metal garages come in 2 different gauges, the 12 gauge and the 14 gauge. The 14 gauge galvanize steel that we use is 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 and the 12 gauge is 2 1/4 x 2 1/4. The frame is engineered to pass your local inspection most of them are rated at 90 to 170 mph wind depending on your selections.
When it comes to small carports that are 12' to 24' wide the frame will be a simple bow with a radius bend. Buildings 26' to 30' wide will come with either a center peak brace and 3 to 5 ft of corner braces or if certified they will come with a custom web truss or like seen in the picture above, with a double bow/truss and extra bracing in the corners.
Your overall bracing and frame may be different as our engineer will design your building for your specific county.
